Firmware 4.6: Elevated temperatures in FlavourSpec®25 allow to test for semi-volatiles

Technical developments and extension of application fields of firm- and hardware in FlavourSpec25® could be achieved. These enable to test semi-volatile compounds with Retention Indices (RI) of 1600 and beyond by raising temperatures of key parameters as injector (200°C), GC and IMS (100°C) .

With these achievements compounds as lactones, sesquiterpenes, esters, alcohols and aldehydes can directly be tested for at low ppb-range from the headspace. 

Further firmware improvements in version 4.6:

  1. ‘Injection counter‘ to assure system tightness: Firmware improvements in version 4.6 triggers an alarm when the user defined number of injections is surpassed.
  2. Adjustable ‘After Sequence settings’ in remote mode (‘SequenceDesigner’)
  3. ‘Editability’ of copied names from clipboard into SequenceDesigner 1.5 
  4. Regular auto ‘check-ups’ w.r.t. established connections on SMB-communication
